Ingredients

Scale Recipe
1 serving
  • 2 cups spinach (packed)
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 medium avocado
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free granola
  • 1 medium kiwi (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds

Instructions

  1. 1

BLEND THE BASE: Add ingredients to the blender in this order for best results: almond milk and honey first (liquids at the bottom help create a vortex), then the spinach, avocado half, and finally the frozen banana and frozen mango on top. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth with no visible spinach flecks. The mixture should be vibrant green and very thick - thicker than a drinkable smoothie. If it's too thin, add more frozen fruit; if the blender struggles, add a tiny splash more milk.

  2. 2

CHECK CONSISTENCY AND POUR: The mixture should be thick enough to eat with a spoon - it shouldn't run or spread flat when poured. If it's too thin, blend in a few ice cubes or more frozen fruit. Pour into a bowl, using a spatula to scrape out all the goodness. Use the back of a spoon to smooth the top into a slight dome shape.

  3. 3

ADD TOPPINGS: Arrange your toppings in sections for an Instagram-worthy presentation: place the gluten-free granola in one area for crunch, fan the kiwi slices in another section, and sprinkle the hemp seeds over a third area. You can also add extra spinach leaves, sliced banana, or coconut flakes if desired. Serve immediately - smoothie bowls lose their thick texture quickly as they warm up.
